Hello all, it's been some time since our last ExpertEvening, but we think you'll agree getting down-to-earth information out there helps every rider. Whether the questions were simple or advanced we hope we got some sound advice out there. At the moment, we have no plans on another evening; they might return in 2013.

For now though as a joint venture with T3 Racing we're working out the ultimate 'how to' video guide. We will be producing some great short video's covering the absolute basics of bike maintenance all the way to the advance. We hope to start releasing some short clips as early as next month and produce a very useful informative guide made available on 675.cc.

So that we're on the right track of what's useful please can you spare some time and just post below any topic you would like to see covered in our series of short clips.

The topics can stretch from how to change the rear wheel all the way to dyno runs in a professional workshop.

We'll select the topics that we think will be the most useful and post them back to the site over the next few months as a video.

Thanks for any suggestions you would find useful and interesting. We hope you'll enjoy the finished video and will find it a very useful resource.

    All the best

You might regret saying that  I'll let you know once we've recorded the first one. :D

  4. What a great idea, and very useful.
I'll start with one not too easy and not too difficult either.

Replacing your own fork seals/fork service.

  5. Very good idea Craig..... Really like the sound of this mate!

I for one would like to know how and what method they use to bleed their brakes systems through when the system is dry!! I had a hell of a job doing mine!!

  6. I know diddly squat about the 675. I'm going to love this. :D

I'd love to hear any tips on suspension adjustment, from how to set the sag properly to what I should be fiddling with on my forks and shock.

I think something like taking your wheels off and putting them back on might be a good one, something like this is quite simple and can save your £20-30 when getting new tyres.

How to properly use a torque wrench might be good to slip into the start of a video.

How to drill and lockwire a bolt and grips would be handy for some keen track people.

Definitely a great idea, but choose carefully as most of us can do and show the basics without "wasting" the time asking the pros, instead ask the things that most of us can't do, I say.

  12. I suppose this is only Tona related?

Nope :) Obviously depending what it is we might need to source another bike for the demonstration etc...

We will be covering the difficults as much as the basics. We're trying to cover it from the new bike rider to the advance. The first video will be with the basics, so I hope the more advanced bikers aren't too disappointed as we will be recording some interesting articles as we progress with the videos. :D

    Great idea Craig.

I think you're right to go from the basics through to hitting the complicated stuff later.

From a personal point of view whilst I've been around 'bike mechanics for quite a bit it I haven't really laid a spanner on the D675 yet so any type specific tips and tricks will be more than welcome.

Having something permanently around is brilliant as at my age the old retention faculty isn't so good. I always find seeing something is a huge aid to having just read the instructions.

Would also like to see how to install common aftermarket parts. Think this would benefit a lot of people.
    There's my 2p worth anyway.

    Great idea,
Just got my first Daytona, so very interested

  18. My question is this. Hopefully its worthwhile.

using the tona all year is great but my gearbox is feeling a little cluncky especially between 1st and 3rd and often struggle to find nuetral. Is there anything i can do to get the smoothness back or is there any easy servicing i cam do to help prolong my gear box.

also Craig i saw a mention on here about helping with the edit. if you need a hand with the sound let me know....

  19. My bike is only 2 minutes away from T3 Craig is you need a ST at any point..... I'd be happy to lend it. :)

Thanks for all the suggestions so far!

We're going to start filming the first few next week, so if you have any "wants" with a guide let us know here asap.

Doesn't matter how simple or trivial or technical. :D
