Just got the bike back from AR racing and I'm well happy, just had a 520 pitch conversion with renthal sprockets and ek chain, -1 tooth on front sprocket and +1 on the rear sprocket, haven't had chance to ride it hard as they fitted fresh rubber in the form of some diablo suprecorsa sp v2, so need to scrub them in abit and it was a wet day here, can already notice the pick up difference with it though and looking forward to testing it out properly when the sun comes out and will give some better feedback on it, cheers to the guys at AR racing and can recommend them to anyone, good bunch of blokes.
I'll be real intrested for your thoughts on the sprockets. I got mine ready to fit myself just as soon as I get time
There is something very scary about seeing that tyre with water running off a basically slick section and knowing you had to ride on it.
Very nice, hopefully il get out on it soon and be able to give you some decent feedback from the changes
Tell me about it, I was pretty weary of riding on these brand new rubbers in the rain we had today and it was real greasy on the road surface too, not fun at all, the wet on the tyres in the photo is from a wash I did when I got back because there was so much dirt from the spray off the road, can't put it away dirty lol
A mate did the same to his 675r and loved it but he is a very quick rider and I'm getting a bit steady now but still have my moments. Hopefully be ready in a few weeks. He recons it takes about 4 mph of the top end but I don't know how much it knocks the speedo out of wack
Bloody hell started to hail today not a great day for New rubber lol! Hopefully won't be long till decent weather comes along and then you can properly scrub those in and then find out what differences the sprockets make to the Bike
We didn't get the hell stone here, just had some heavy showers just as I picked it up, sun was out 5 minutes before riding, typical British weather and luck
Did he run -1front +1rear? I knew about the top speed lose but acceleration is where the fun is at, especially out of corners, could get the speedo corrected but it's probably not worth doing for the money, at least it reads higher and not lower for the speed cameras etc
I think it was the same and agree with the xtra umph out the corners being more fun . My last bike was a gsxr1000 loads of poke but the 675 is loads more rideable. Just wanted to know how much to compensate speedwise
Another thing to bare in mind, it also increases the mileage quicker unless you adjust the speed sensor.
Haha Britain for ya! Glad you didn't get the hail. Me and my GF were so surprised we thought it was heavy rain at first then we realised there was actual particles bouncing off everything and saw them settling. Only lasted a few mminutes then about half hour later it was pretty dry. Strange weather I thought! Bring on the sun I say!
Has anyone got any recommendations as to where I can take my bike to get it corrected or what I could buy to do it myself? I think I could take it to JHS racing in keynsham near me, I'm not to fussed about the speedo being out but the mileage going up quicker is a pain especially when it comes to selling it one day
Thank you very much, the software will just automatically reconfigure it to suit the gearing I take it??
