Hello. Please can someone clear something up for me. I have a 2006 Daytona, the owners manual and the Haynes manual say a wet oil change including filter requires 2.6 ltrs of oil. I'm seeing several forum posts saying Triumph got the capacity and dip stick size wrong and it should be 3.2 ltrs. Could someone point me in the direction of this info from Thiumph themselves. I'd rather read it direct from them to confirm rather than just rumours on a forum, just be be on the safe side. Thanks, Rob.
The dipstick length was reduced from 90mm to 77mm, to increase the oil level. The preferred oil level is the higher one, although Triumph did not replace the older dipsticks under any recall. They did subsequently baffle the sump, which improved matters more than simply increasing the fluid in the engine.
