Who the hell wants to own their own house... Find a cheap mortgage until the day you die, spend the rest on enjoying the journey. With house appreciation over the years there will still be enough equity in the property to pay off the mortgage and your funeral. Don't bother struggling now, just enjoy your life before your stone dead In my opinion if you die rich having saved all your money, you got the whole thing wrong.
If i was desperate for the stand i would buy one like others have said whats £330 compared to what we spend on trackdays/new bikes/leathers etc etc your along time dead if i want something i normally get it.
anyone seen the version abba are doing now not sure what i think at first i thought expensive but great as its easier to use for mutiple bikes then i watched the video and thought what a pain in the arse that is to use and also i could just buy a abba stand and weld a frame up and fit a jack and save around £250 and use a better jack (or air ram) than they use i wonder just how many pumps it takes to lift fully up http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/abba-Sky-Lift ... 19e87ac083 makes the 1jac look really good value for money abba have rrushed a good idea and made a error on this in my opinion
In summary: The 1JAC stand seems to only raise the bike about 6"- 8" and costs £339. The Abba stand can raise the bike horizontally to about 18" and costs £379. A hydraulic stand ( http://www.amazon.co.uk/FoxHunter-Hydra ... ycle+bench ) can raise the bike to 30" and costs £289. I know a couple of guys, one being an ex student of mine, that could lift my toy up to about 36". The cost for that would be me taking a photo that proved they did it which would go on FaceFriend, and a cuppa. Maybe a tub of protein powder too.
i do like the tilting option though that the abba sky lift offers, i know a hydraulic lift would do the same but i don't have the space for one of them! this whole discussion has got me thinking about ditching my normal abba stand and getting a 'lift' stand instead.
the warrior stand from demon tweekes for £111 now has a fitting kit for the 675 listed at £18.99 so £130 for full thing anybody got 1 yet im very tempted but just dont know if i should get 1 or wait and buy the constands version or the 1 jac if and when i can spare that sort of money link to the demon tweekes website bellow http://www.demon-tweeks.co.uk/motorcycl ... ider-stand
The triumph kit must be very recently added. I ordered one 2weeks ago. Not heard anything from dt other than the order was received. Was going to get the pin made up.might add the early 675 kit and see if it can be adapted.
ive just been on the demon tweekes sight again and they are listed as pre order ive sent them a email to see what the delivery time is if you add the stand and pin kit to the basket delivery is showing as £7.50 via tracked courier service so a total price of £137.49 cant be a bad deal at that when i was intouch with sv racing in usa last year we had to get 10 or more to get there price down to around £230 i think it was and that was to delivery to 1 place in the uk
got a very quick reply from demon tweekes they are due a large delivery of stands are due in 10th of march
I have been reading this thread with great interest. Have been looking for this type of thing for while. It'd be great for spinning the bike around in the shed. Anyway I have just ordered the stand and adapter from demon tweeks so will post opinion when it arrives....
im thinking i might order 1 before they are in stock too im interested for a few reasons but 1 is that at present i have to back my bike out and down a ramp before i can ride away with this i can turn it round before i move it down the ramp much easier to get the bike out
Got a email from Deamontweeks. Seams the castors on the latest stands were substitute without there knowledge. So they are going to send a revised set. The pre 2013 daytona kit fitted my bike (non R or ABS) Just fine. All I had to do was swop the engine bolt orientation to put the nut on the left side of the bike. Bargain
i did buy the stand but got refund before the recall on the castors when lifting the bike it leaned away from the stand the top pin slide out about 20mm and wouldnt lift the front wheel clear of the ground aparantly some of the pin kits might have been packed wrong as theres been a few different bikes with fitting problems the stand itsself looked fine for the money i would love 1 but not at the price of a 1 jac or abba skylift still not sure if i should try the constands version for £240 i do like how it flods up if you want to store it
I got mine and the emails from demon tweeks warning me not to use it. Lost confidence in the product and asked for a refund. I have to say throughout all this, demon tweeks have been great, they're going to arrange a courier to pick it up FOC. I think I'm going to make do without a stand. I think money would be better spent on new rear tyre...
i agree cant fault demon tweekes they really were fantastic responded very quick and sorted all the collecton at there cost i wouldnt think twice about buying from them in the future
Yes top marks for sorting out what ever the customers wanted hears my adaptor befor instaling on to the warrier
