Hit the big 3 0 today, not me unfortunately, that was a long time ago. The Daytona, still looking and riding as good as ever.
First ride out on the "new" Thruxton R, finished most of the work weeks ago but delayed waiting for the new plate swap and then the V5 to tax it. Considering I didn't test ride it, thankfully the engine feels strong and the gearbox ok, or as good as they normally are on these bikes. Feels familiar which is not surprising given the long list of bits swapped off the old bike, maybe faster changing direction, could be the Lithium battery I've fitted or placebo effect. Very impressed with the cheap £15 TPMS unit I fitted, reassuring to be able to check the tyre pressures at any time when riding, sometimes get paranoid when I feel something strange and have to stop and check the tyres, when it was probably just the road surface, no more. Still not 100% sure about the colour, although it looks great on the Daytona, I'm glad I chose it as its rare compared with the silver, but may go back to silver in the future as I've got all the parts in storage.
