Triumph Daytona 675 | eBay UK

This has come up for sale today.

Anyone know if this is an actual Triumph model? A quick Google search throws up nothing.

Looks to have the full set of carbon fibre, including a rather nice full fairing/seat unit (I'm very upset by the hydrographic dipped seat cowl however).

I've never heard of such a model? I'm not an expert but I have owned a lot of D675s......

And 148bhp? That's a very significant power uplift. From what changes?

The advert certainly lacks in information!

Looks like nothing more than a home modified one to me

  2. There's no such thing as a TT148, that's just a very tired looking road bike. There's no way you're getting 148bhp from a Daytona engine without serious head work and full rebuilds every few hundred miles. That it's also got the road furniture and OEM suspension tells me it's no race bike, just another deluded eBay dreamer. 148bhp and 148kg gives a 1:1 power to weight ratio, again, total BS. My 08 track Daytona weighs around 170kg wet no fuel and there's no way full carbon fairings take 22 kg off.

I think it's safe to say the seller is a total bullshitter, £7.5k for that is laughable.

I've sent the Seller a series of questions, I'll be intrigued to see what (f anything) comes back......

  4. You'd want a Dyno readout and a picture of it on the scales at the very least. But on closer inspection it's just running the standard exhaust with an Arrow slip on, that would need a full system to get near 148bhp, a serious amount of head skimming, kit valves and valve springs. I think the seller probably thinks a k&n air filter is worth 20 bhp on its own.

As you say Pitchfork, 'deluded' is the watchword :(

  6. :rotfl:
That's the scruffiest rusty old pile of crap I've seen in a long time, deluded isn't the word.
My "best offer" is £200, and that's for the Arrow slip-on and any petrol in the tank, you can keep the rest.:p

I've just received notification from Ebay that "The seller is now accepting offers" (presumably because they recognised that I'd clicked the link that Colin Smith put in the OP).
Now's the time to place the offer for a spare used Arrow, although I think £200 is about par for that (unless it's got the baffle too, which are more sought after)

My 2009 is red, which is worth a minimum of 40 orse pah and it still won't match that which, if triumph ever ran that in the TT, the royal navy have been using it as an anchor ever since! I'm no expert either but that seems a series of unlikely boasts. Maybe the tank is full of helium to help with weight?

He has now replied..............'TT148 is what I was told when I bought the bike'

That's it, no answers to any of my other queries.

And I see he's just knocked £3k off the price

    Not nearly enough

  11. We're getting closer then, just noticed its got a quickshifter as well so I'll up my offer to £300 for parts.:D
