This really is Charlie’s last shot at beating this awful disease.. I can not imagine what Charlie and his family are going through right now.

In order to raise as much as I can to help I will be working extra and donating each week.. I am also going to run two back to back marathons 52.4 miles around Dorney Lake on 14th November in under 10 hours I aimed to have 6 months training considering I couldn’t run more than 5k 6 months ago this really will be my toughest challenge I have ever faced. However given Charlie’s situation 6 weeks will have to be enough. I have a page set up so I can double what I raise through my employers fundraising scheme however do please share Charlie’s fundraising page:

This is Charlie Ilsley and incredible 13 year old young man who has battled cancer since he was diagnosed at 8 years old. Unfortunately due to covid his treatment was stopped and his family have taken the decision to take him to Mexico for treatment. This has put a huge amount of financial burden on his parents a single trip costing in the region of £25,000.. I know times are uncertain for us all some people have been impacted terribly in this pandemic. However if you are in a position to help then please do.
This has caught my Families and my heart and my Son is running two marathons back to back to try to help. So save that last pint or fag and help

I don't know Charlie or his family, however it's such a sad situation for them to find theirselves in. I've made a small donation and shared this thread link on the 675.cc Facebook page. Fingers crossed the family are able to raise the last 9K to get him the treatment he needs.

Just popping back to say my Boy has been contacted by the family who want to say thanks and how overwhelmed they are for the help they have received from here and especially the Triumph forum who have blown my mind with their generosity. God bless you all.

And now the run is all over and I ache from head to toe and I only managed about 8 to 10 miles The boy Steven did 52 miles. You know Charlie's family saw the run was taking place and came along briefly to say thanks. What a nice genuine couple. They could not stay as long as they wanted to as they had to get back for Charlie. I just say thankyou God you made my Sons Healthy and my road of Fatherhood an easier one. I attempted to do some video but mess it all up not worth viewing but if you want to listen to my voice it is here. And most of all to you all thanks from the bottom of my heart. Think the next time you go for a spin on the steed just how lucky you are.

O'h my dear family. I know I said I would not be using the forum as much. But I have to show you all this as you helped to make it possible. This forum and the patrons were the biggest supporters and you can see just how well you have done and that is just those who followed my Darling Son who I love so much. And maybe there might just be someone here who hasn't read or followed the run and would like to add the price of a beer to the fund there's a young boy with his parents with tears in their eyes who need you and I know as I have seen it personally. And my soul went cold with shivers that our father in heaven lets this happen to an innocent child. I promise I will not bother you fantastic any more about this

Peeps it is with the greatest sense of sadness and pain. I am writing to say Charlie lost his fight for life. You know i did pray for divine intervention just this once. I have no details as of yet and only learned this myself. So now he is in a better place and may God hold him safe in the palm of his hand and look after him. I just want to thank all of you that donated and prayed with me. Perhaps God has better plans for this child. Never the less I got tears in my eyes now and it hurts to just write this message. God I am so hurt that this has happened. Thankyou all my fellow Brothers and Sisters.
