Winter is perfect project time for all those tasty mods you can do...

 

Looking forward to them dry days again now to be able to let the engine breath.

BSD is my local tuner, I know Mark, Gill and team pretty well. That’ll be tuned like a beauty by Mark without a doubt

 

I bought the bike from superbike factory in Macclesfield.

Glad to know its been tuned well, it certainly feels like it. As I said above the bike has no service history.

Could I be cheeky and ask if you could ask them if they have any information on the bike. Reg: VO12 GLJ.

Nice attention to detail, and a cracking job of that Arrow imho (what did you do to clean that up please.? )

 

Thanks StMarks, I used methanol very dangerous thing to use to be honest but doesn't discolour the metal. It does also evaporate and removes any tar or grease flicked up from the chain.

I have also cleaned inside the fairings and will be replacing the heat protection on the right side.

By all means this is no show pony though and will be used every day that it isn't raining from around March to September ish

Nice job - should really give mine a “deep clean”, but getting too cold for me now! Autosol is really good on the metalwork (rub on with an old toothbrush) if you don’t want to use methanol.

 

Not envious at all...

...Mine looks like a tractor at the moment, and I only cleaned it on Sunday...

 

Haha I'm ok with using the methanol, I wanted to keep the brushed metal look it has rather than polish it like the up pipe. I used autosol on that.

Best do the deep clean while its dry and you still have chance though. Get yourself some heated gloves

Haha I'm lucky enough to have an fz6 i use daily for work and back so the d675r stays undercover for now.

12,000 mile service done with the help of MuddySump on YouTube and some lovely extras. That ive put on the bike.

I have some experience with rebuilding car engine cylinder heads and checking clearance's on them so it was relatively similar to that. Just took more stripping of the bike to do the work.

i also recorded the results down on some paperwork with a triumph service sheet that i found off the internet so at least i have some record that i can put with pictures for the future.
