I have a 2013 Daytona (same shape) and have ridden the 765 for a few hours as a loaner. The Daytona is a better ride in my opinion although perhaps too track focussed for a daily ride. the street triple is easier to live with as a daily but just lacked in comparison. It didn’t sound as good but had a stock can against the arrow on the Daytona, it wasn’t as smooth and I kept stalling the street triple pulling away unless i revved it high which made it hard work. Top end was pretty similar to the Daytona so all good there. All in all, It just didn’t make me want one. The speed triple RS on the other hand is a brilliant road bike because it has the torque but also the top end

I haven’t ridden the new one which could be a lot better

Thanks I demoed the rs speed and street the street i found very flickable i liked the power delivery with a nice noticable step in the power around 10k. The speed i thought was too much for the road as i personally like the feeling of taking it to the limit. Its good to know the rs has around the same power as the daytona as I prefer the look of the race rep

I have had both the 675R is a mega bike for road and track I would say just enough power for the road.
The 765Rs I would say is a better all round bike I have done a 2000 mile European road trip great fun on the twistys and comfy on the motorways, but as a track bike I am a lot quicker on the rs over the 675R

I owned both together for a while, I owned the daytona along side my 2014 street r for a year then replaced my street with the all new rs, after a couple of months and 2k miles I sold the rs as it was too similar to the daytona.
The engine on the rs is very similar, good torque but still likes to be revved hard to get the most from it, ride wise I think the rs was too heavily sprung for my 70kg on the road, the daytona always felt much more compliant, brakes - you'd be splitting hairs to choose, comfort wise obviously the rs wins here but i never found the daytona to be a problem. Rs obviously has all the electronics which i believe are valuable for road riding.
I think ultimately it comes down to whether you want a sports bike or not? I'd happily own either of them again, If i had to choose.... probably the daytona.

    Either bike you'll love

Cheers for the replys guys, the daytona looks a little more special in my eyes and if the power and delivery is similar I think I'd be happier with the daytona as I'd only use it as a sunday ride and occasional track bike. Gary I'm surprised your quicker on the rs as theres no wind protection do you think it's down to hgearing or that the rs is that good

The rs is bloody good on track but tbf I have had a bit of tuition since owning the rs so it could be that ?? The new Daytona 765 moto2 feels bloody good but time will tell

For Sunday rides and occasional track use I'd going Daytona 100%

Not knocking the RS one bit as it's a cracking bike, actually considering the new one again, but I've already had 3 streets and a daytona, feel i should probably trying something different.

One other thing to point out, the daytona gets a lot of attention wherever you go.
