Rode it from S.Wales to N.Wales and a few places in between to the outlaws in mid Wales, finding some of the smaller mountain passes Roads are lovely and hot & sticky
Jeez...that could of flooded the engine. Now if you were on a big Africa twin that wouldn't of been an issue...on a sports bike...you must have big balls lol
Yeah it was a bit sketchy. Only went over the nose as i entered then just covered the front mudguard. Had to do the same in the peak distruct on my old zx6r. Other guys were on ktm tourer and honda vtr and a 90's blade.
Well I brought a cheap set of head phone just to see what it's like riding with them and I mean cheap haha. For sat nav they are great and music OK below 40 but then crap as I kinda expected but wanted to see what it was like before forking out for good ones. Thanks for the Input guys. Stage one a better helmet less wind noise and then head phones. Thanks Joe
Took it for an MOT today, passed with flying colours. Put my baffle back in and fitted my rear reflector, MOT guy told me not to bother next year! Also adjusted my chain to take a little slack out, not runs lovely.
Hi Joe, did you mean to put this into your headphone thread? Using speakers, even helmet speakers, wont drown out the wind noise, you need ear plugs for that. With standard foam ear plugs you would need the volume right up on the headphone source, if they are fitted snugly enough to drown out the wind noise. Moulded ear phones do both jobs. They will remove most or all of the wind noise, and give you clear sound, if thats what you are looking for. If you can find some small enough, you could just try some of the standard "in ear" style ear phones, with the little rubber plugs, so you can at least hear the difference over the wind noise at speed.
Yes wrong thread doh.. Thanks for the feedback. These ones gave me a feel for what it would be like and when riding on my own was much better having some music and sat nav was great. Time to invest at the end of the month me thinks
Bike prep day as we're on the track on Sunday, all looks good but will need a new rear tyre during the day.
While in UK last month I bought an ex race / TT bike and used it Donington with @Frequent Flyer . Since arriving back in Sweden, its sat in the garage until yesterday, it was then treated to a bit of a strip down, everything checked over and put back together as I plan to use it tomorrow too. Some nice bits of bling on that include the TRAC ECU with software/leads, Triumph titanium exhaust system, bitubo suspension all round, oil cooler below the rad etc, It also came with 2 large containers of spares, WOW, warmers etc A bit rough around the edges but it should clean up well.
Took it for a last minute evening 150-mile blat round south&mid wales - only for it to be cut short when my mates Ducati multistrada developed a rattle and expired... just got back in now.
