Looking for more power out of my stock 2014 675....I've fitted a K N race filter....what's everyone's advice on exhaust and re map....what can I do o get the most power out of my JPS.....thanks guys....

  2. Full system (decat) and custom remap I would say, will probably next around 7-10hp with a really good power curve. More power than that is likely to mean a thinner head gasket I would think, which immediately means work

Sorry...meant any advice what system and where to get it from....I like the gp style...

  5. T3 Racing will sort you out. Think we get discount there too.

    Great....thanks guys....appreciate it...

  7. Yeah, I would go with the T3 hybrid full system with the scorpion end can, t3 also do remapping and told me that I would get back all the bottom and mid range that went 'missing' even without the decat. So you will get more peak power but also much broader power

Power is nothing without control Nick. You joining us at the forum Trackday.?
T3 are true experts, & will undoubtedly offer the optimum performance improvements. The removal of the various emission control systems are the easiest, but then there are many other improvements that can be made, but please bear in mind (to quote a very wise member on here) that the brighter a flame burns, the shorter it lasts.;))
The best "performance improvements" that you can make arguably lie in suspension.
Whilst I'm on a "downer" (sorry btw :oopsoops:) apparently a lot of the race teams run OEM air filters for the best performance.? (Having said that, I do have an MWR in mine )

  9. I had a dyno session at T3 with my STR, they managed to do me a custom map pushing my bike from 107.2 bhp to 115.4 bhp. My bike is std engine with only de-cat and modified custom air intake. They advised me to stick to a OEM filter.

I'm more than happy with the outcome!

While I'm on the subject....I seem to have missed the boat when it comes to bike performance etc....I understand the theory ( aircraft engineer)... But I'm mechanical and have no understanding of electrical electronics....is there somewhere that has a dummies guide to power commanders/ bazzaz etc.....seems tweeting your bike is a bloody mind field now....

  12. When you say more power what do you mean? Are you after more torque in the mid range or more power at the top end?

    More torque mid range....

  14. Have you looked at gearing in that case? I know mine is plenty good enough but it's a 2007 with -1+2 gearing. Not sure about 2014 gearing

I've considered loads...but as I've said...there's loads of things to do or can be done....first is the throttle...suspension....then I guess exhaust....then...god knows...so much choice...

I have looked at going down the t3 route on my Trackbike 13 675R but it's well over a grand and I just worry about what damage I would be doing to the Oem engine? The newer Daytona has a peach of an engine IMO so for the time being I am just going with the arrows slip on save weight and I no I can get on track with it db levels etc. Plus saving over £1000 that's a lot of trackdays. The biggest improvement on any bike can come from the rider without spending any money good control and some big balls will be enough IMO.

  17. I would look at getting the exhaust and custom map and suspension basic set up done first. That will fill in the mid range and also get the stock suspension operating better for your personal riding weight.

Then later perhaps look at upgrading The suspension itself, and doing further engine bits

  18. Crash protection, brakes, suspension, tyres, gearing ratios, air intake/exhaust, and then engine - in that order imho.

  19. Some years ago I was at Anglesey doing a trackday and decided to use the onsite suspension tweaker's - best money I ever spent as the times got quicker, bike handled better and the voice inside my head was quieter :)
