I hate camping - ever since I camped in Ross on Wye and it rained and rained and rained, ops1:  river burst it's banks and flooded my tent and all my gear floated down the field  I did not dry out for a bloody week - No I have booked a room in the cosy farm house - I quote from the sales pitch on the web site Be our house guest and stay in the cosy old farmhouse. With its period features and bric-a-brac accumulated over generations and country garden to enjoy, this is the real thing. All rooms are furnished to an exceptionally high standard with quality furniture and kingsize beds. etc.. etc... I am to much in love with a nice warm bed at night to give it up for a hard field
What with you in the B & B, and me sleeping in the van, is it any wonder why them northerners call us southern jessies!!
Dave I don't give a toss I have spent many a night in a field without a tent That's another story, or in the back of an old sherpa van or a VW. This way I dont have to carry so much - I hope... , and get a nice warm, soft, fluffy, peaceful nights rest...
Stick's and Stones ------------------------------ are most likely under my tent and I will wake from my slumber with a crick neck and I won't be able to ride in the morning and enjoy it...
hi all...as a weight and space saving idea..last year on the first fest i bought an inflatable lilo, couple of quid on ebay...it made a nice enough matress and it was cheap enough to bin when id finished with it...just a thought

Hopefully should be able to make it. Work has got in the way of everything I've said I'll make so far so still a maybe!!!
had a look at the campsite today...looks ok, theres bogs and the usual stuff there..pub and chippy are about a 5 minute walk...although you have to book the pub if you want a meal cos it gets quite busy apparently...those of you who have booked b&b, can you check which one you booked as i spoke to the owner and she hasnt had any bookings yet...there is another venn farm which is about 7 miles from the campsite, ughborough i think.. i was also thinking that we could make the megaride a memorial to henry, get some t shirts made up or something, maybe pitty can do us a deal, what do you think..if you think its a crap idea then tell me so, i wont mind.. ill get some pics up as soon as i find my camera lead
......I think that's a top-class idea...with a few modifications - such as a "Celebration of Henry's Life" rather than a memorial...more of a party-like theme you know, - "if you gotta go, then go doing something you love" etc.
