Hi all this is my first post here, I have been directed here via a forum on MCN! the below is a copy of my MCN post any thoughts would be great!

Does anyone know if the Daytona 675 has a common fault with the exup valve, mine gone in for a service and the dealer called to tell me that he has to change out the exup valve and header pipes on a warrenty claim, i must be a complete numpty because i have to be honest the bike felt fine??

How should the bike feel with a duff exup valve, should it be running like a pig?

    Cheers

The exup valve is the most common fault on the 675 and is mentioned on a very many posts on this forum, if you have a look at them you will find the answer you are lokking for. I must admit when mine went the bike really didn't feel any different either :?:

  3. I blew the head (insert joke) on mine then rode 200 miles only noticing that it was running a bit hotter than it should and was down on power at the very bottom of the rev range. Very, very

  4. MIne went a few weeks back. Struggled to get to a ton (private track) and would not rev past 10k. Stripped it down, adjusted cables and lubed. All sweet now. Its straightforward to do and there is a how to on triumph675.net

Mine made F.I light come on, sorted cables now fine, but think Valve at front of bike constantly open and squeaks too, has'nt slowed us down as of yet?? :? ;)

  6. Can't the squeaky intake flapper be removed?

If your intake flapper is squeaking then just get the TOR tune as long as you have a slip-on or stock can. Not for full sys obviously. I think even with a stock can your fueling should be fine as the mapping is lean from the factory for emission and economy reasons. The TOR tune isn't that much richer anyway.
