Black with fuorescent green or orange trim works for me. Not liking the purples or red though. You could add matching pinstriping to the tank to really set it off.

  3. Thought this might shed some light Hazza. LOL

    How colorblindness works
Colorblindness is a malfunction of the retina (a neuro-membrane lining the inside back of the eye), which converts light energy into electrical energy that is then transmitted to the brain. Two types of photoreceptor cells in the retina accomplish this conversion: rods and cones.
    #
The cones are responsible for encoding color. (Rods give us our night vision.) Each cone contains structures or visual pigments sensitive to one of three wavelengths of light: red, green, and blue. Normal persons are able to match all colors of the spectrum by mixtures of only three fundamental color sensitivities. Hence, the huge variety of colors we perceive stems from the cone cells' response to different compositions of wavelengths of light.
    #
Defects in color vision occur when one of the three cone-cell color-coding structures fails to function properly. One of the visual pigments may be present and functioning abnormally, or it may be absent altogether.
    #
Colorblindness is normally diagnosed through clinical testing. (The Ishihara color test is the most common test used.) Although there is no treatment for colorblindness, most color-deficient persons compensate well for their defect and may even discover instances in which they can discern details and images that would escape normal-sighted persons.

You CAN NOT have KTM orange or Kawker green and as for the others :spew: ... It doesn’t matter how much CF you have it will no longer be a cool bike.
Gold to match the brakes or graphite to be subtle. We all love you just dont make a rash decision.

Well you lot are nice! I thought the orange didn't look that bad!! I admit that the pink and purple was just laugh, but the green I thought could look cool to go with the CF as it'll all just over the top now! I want the wheels to stand out from the dull CF.....

  12. How about British racing green?. Or a gloss/matt black mix? Or gold! :D

Think of the Aston Martin DB9 LeMans race cars. They used bright green and orange trim around the grill, on the wing mirrors and across the top of the windscreen to be able to tell the difference between the two immediately on sight.
Gotta use it sparingly though or your bike'll look like a piece of 80's beachwear, and that is under no circumstances, in any shape or form whatsoever, acceptable.

  14. British Racing Green is spunktastic!

Thinking about it, I would go with black wheels with orange or green wheel stripes, and then matching pinstriping on the tank. That would match your cf fairings and pick out the tank lines nicely if you think in triangles to keep the triple theme that runs throughout the bike.

Hi Hazza, a couple agree that the Orange could suit including yourself.
I think the Orange is the best out of the lot, but would consider having the Orange only on the edge of the rim and leaving the spokes and the central band where the valve is to a dark graphite for the best more 'subtle' contrast.

By the way, all being well, i'll be down in Ashtead, Surrey on the 16,17,& 18th April, seeing a mate who's just bought an RSV4, so we'll be calling in at Box Hill a few times, so may see u or other 675ers there.
My No. is 07870 650 105 and hope to see someone down in that neck of the woods.

No Curtis, if u take a look at the wheel, the spokes and the central band where the valve is, leaves a good 3inches up to the edge of the rim to be painted... :scramble:

  19. The lime green is best, and it also contrasts well with the gold forks.

I've had a few green ZXR's in the past...so I might be a bit biased!

That day glow green affair at the top makes it look like a Kwak to much I think. I saw a white one (race faired) with day glow yellow wheels, which looked amazing, not sure how it would look on a dark grey/black bike.

With all that carbon on the bike I'm surprised your not saving for some nice carbon wheels Hazza? and carbon ceramic brakes etc etc, it is verging on an obsession lol.

Black with day glow cherry red always looks good I think (same colour as Honda's CR motocross bike a few years ago, see piccy same as the plastic with the number 14 on)

    avintagemx.com.au_wp_content_gallery_honda_open_class_1991_cr500.jpg

Either that or a nice candy blue would be my choice (see piccy, ignore car just look at the colour)

However it's all subjective so there's no right or wrong, just go with what makes YOU happy, after all it's gotta make YOU smile when you wheel it out the garage, not us ;)

    Cheers

    Steve
