I know that some are meeting at the Ace (north London) and now some of you at Box Hill, I am going to be leaving from Maidenhead or Twyford (Bulldog), as there is no point riding for an hour in the wrong direction. I don’t know what the routes are from these start points but I would suggest the A4 unless you are planning to use the M4? If it’s the A4 we could possibly pick a point and a rough time to rendezvous somewhere on the way. As I don’t see us meeting up at the main meeting point with 10K+ bikes around, even with the 675 in its sweet beauty standing out amongst them all..?
http://blog.afghanheroes.org.uk/2010/02 ... oute-info/ the route we will have to take check it out who s meeting where ????????????
No not yet, all i know is everyone is meeting at some airfield near Swindon and there is to be staggered departures so there won't be 10500 bikes leaving at once!!
Thats the last thing I was aware of... only a few days to go now mate for your new wheels.. Not that you dont know that already LOL
I got this today via facebook. I signed today as I couldn't do it earlier as I didn't have my bike. Afghan Heroes Great News! If you missed the original registrations for the Wootton Bassett event there is still a possibility that you can attend the ride. Due to duplicate entries, drop-outs and cancelations we will be able to offer a limited number of reserve places. Please use the form on the link below to get onto the reserve list.
http://blog.afghanheroes.org.uk/2010/02 ... oute-info/ heres the route to take....any of you meeting up anywhere.......
I have received an email from Afghan Heroes today, they want to know what time i will be arriving at Hullavington?. As most people will have had there emails as well is there going to be specific time we all try and turn up together?
I got mine as well today.I have put between 9-10 now i have got my pass to get into the airfield,be careful as you register to get the pass there is only a number of places left and there going down fast. Who s meeting up and where??????????????????
Had mine and booked 11-12 to fit in with the local RAT's who are leaving Bull Dog @ 9am. If we don't all manage to meet beacuse of times, possibly a rally point after the ride through may be a good idea?
I have booked 9-10am slot as i am going to try and meet some friends there, anyone else doing the same time?. Good idea Frank to try and meet up afterwards if possible, er indoors is away all weekend so i can do what i want ( not usually the case)
Not registered but as a member of 16 AA Bde having done 2 tours of Iraq, 2 of Afghan and going again in October I am damn well going!!!! Look out for The Yellow Peril!!!! Anyone else riding from Colchester region?
I think you have earned the right to be there DJ, I think some guys from north of London and possibly Essex are heading towards the Ace cafe on route...
Hi Joel - have dealt several times with 16AA at Colchester, only 10 miles from me! Always a pleasure as well. Would be going but as I'm on crutches and not on a bike for at least 2 months I have had to forego the ride. Enjoy it and think briefly of those that support but can't go. Stay safe. Dave G.
