Recently had a interesting ride home where i had a coming together with the biggest deer i have ever seen (well it looks massive before i hit it). managed to stay on but the bike took some damaged including damaged radiator smashed front mud guard bucked front wheel and bent forks. Needless to day the deer came out worse

I've managed to sort everything apart from the wheel and forks. Has anyone got any experiences for having bent forks and bucked wheels straightened/repaired. Iv been doing the research and found some companies that offer the service but I'm just not convinced that

    A. Original run out tolerances can be achieved
    B. The parts will be much weaker than new parts from been bent

I am most likly going to replaing them with new parts but before i do i would be very interested if anyone has any experience of having wheel and forks straightened.

P.S Insert you best O that's going be deer below.

Welcome to the forum jmwilliams, one of our other members had a run in with a deer earlier this year. He came away less damaged than you.

Motoliner have a very good reputation (and I've used them as well) - give them a ring and I'm sure they'll be straight with you.

What I want to know is did you go back and pick up the deer for the freezer?

  9. I hit a pheasant on the bike about 18 months back and it damned near broke my hand during the encounter.

I got off the bike and went back up the road for the pheasant's remains but my wife point blank refused to stuff it down the front of her jacket so's we could take it home for dinner .....

    Women eh ?
