Popped out for a quick spin thisarvo to bed my new tyres in and my Scorpion carbon end can has quite literally exploded, it looks like it has got very very hot (its gone purple in places) and split along the seem on the top. I have just re-fitted the baffle, just wondering if the baffle was over restrictive.
The can has only been on since last July and most probably only done 1000 miles. Looks like the standard can will be going back on and Scorpion WILL BE refunding me.
    Anyone else had this happen?

Why are you using a baffle with a scorpion can? I binned mine as it didn't fit properly

using the baffle as it's a tad on the anti-social side without it and some times is nice not to be heard 2 miles away. My old SP1 with Moriwaki titanium race cans on wasn't as loud as the Scorpion.

My scorpion. Trrimmed 4" off the end and free flowed only comes in at 104db. I'm surprised yours is that loud.

perhaps this is the problem, the can has been faulty from the get go. Not enough wadding in the exhaust.

Not enough wadding wouldn't really be a problem. You still have that big hole thru the centre to let the gasses release. Blocking that and you'll have a pressure build up. Not enough wadding can cause colouring of the can but that's about it
