Folks, it's traditional once a year to try and organise a 675 meet up (all bikes welcome of course) over the course of a weekend.
The last large scale event was 2019 when I hosted 15 or so in the frozen North and Scottish borders.
A couple of easy weekend ride outs have been organised since then and it's a tradition I'd love to see maintained.
I've spoken with @cpszx (Craig) who's also keen. The usual format is Friday to Sunday in a premier Inn with an all day run out on the Saturday, organised by someone who plots a route and leads the ride.
Craig and I thought 7-9th July looked like a good weekend...so that's when it is.
If anyone would like to be the host and plan... that'd be great... otherwise Craig has kindly agreed to step in again and we'll be somewhere around Peterborough.
It'd be great to have anyone along who wants to join in. We're a friendly bunch and I certainly knew no one when I pitched up to my first one in 2015! The pace is sensible, there's no need to 'keep up' and we've never had a bad meet up yet!
I'll just leave this here for now....any thoughts, participants or volunteers, most welcome.
    Cheers
    Simon

Sounds like a good idea - will check my diary (also known as the wife) to see if I could make the dates.

You'd be welcome Nik....get the DFDS from Ijmuiden to Newcastle . We've had a few foreign members welcomed in over the years. @george.florentin Everyone welcome... just be prepared to think you've landed in the third world. It's like soviet Russia right now. We ran out of gas last week, tomatoes this week. Shortage bingo is the new Netflix, entertainment wise

Er, maybe, if I have anything resembling some stamina by then. Which bike do I bring though???

Last time there were 2 Daytona's....so if you have one...why not bring it along! I'll be riding down from Durham to wherever we end up on my MK1 Tornado Red. The more the merrier on whatever you fancy. I've a choice also but this will probably be the only run out the Daytona gets in 2023 as I'll be using other bikes for different things.

All coming together nicely I've messaged a couple of folk who are stalwarts of the parish. It'd be great to see faces old and new. I'll speak with Craig and sort out a base before the weekend so we can get organised Keep spreading the word to forum friends old and new

Great... I've set Craig away with his top local knowledge looking for sensible places to stay. Maybe end up back where we were last year...who knows. It's the company and the Rideout that matters.

  13. Cheers for the message Si!

Been too long, timing shouldn’t be an issue but I’ll have to see what options are available for a bike!

It'll be great to see you. Beg, borrow or steal a bike! I'll put up details of where we'll be staying later this week once I've chatted with Craig

For Peterborough, town centre hotels seem a bit dodgy, parking wise.
Bull hotel in centre would be ideal and has private carpark, that is not so private…

We can stay same as last time, Premier Inn at Hampton. Advantage is retail park with all food places nearby, as long as not tipping it down like last time…
    Disadvantage, its a retail park.
Although it does have own carpark and we chained 4 bikes together last time.

There is Premier Inn and others near Ferry Meadows. Nicer area, but only 1 pub/restaurant nearby. Which could be a problem for friday/saturday evenings.

Any preferences or other suggestions before we decide? Probably on Hampton as before due to everything nearby.

I'd go with the Hampton....it was easy enough, they have a bar...and it didn't look too dodgy (Well, for the South!) See what others think. Happy with anything really
