I've just snaffled a brand new Yuasa for my 675, for £10.

 

@D41 would have it all, if they had a branch stateside(& doesn't currently have bike). He LOVES rimtape iirc

 

Wow! £10 Is this the larger battery for the 09 on? Might grab one myself.

 

No, mine's an 06, so the smaller one for me. They may have the 9's too, I wasn't looking so don't know (but they seemed to have a few sizes).

 

I believe the 09 is the YTX9-BS and they’re £49 (£35 at Brooks barn on eBay) so you’ve got yourself a great deal there St Marks. My 06 now has the 09 battery tray.
You’d struggle to buy 12 Duracell’s for under a tenner!

Says on Yuasa’s website YT7B-BS for 09. So pick one up myself for a tenner, nice one

 

Just be aware they changed the yt7 for the slightly bigger yt9, had issues with the 7 when left for a short period of time

Though at 10 quid it's a bargain

Hardly.
I still manage to get out once in a long while though...I just borrow a friend's bike is all.... he's obviously very trusting!!

 

i tried for a few thing but all out of stock local and not for home delivery

 

Had a message from Halfrauds to say my battery was in store for collection.

Arrived to collect it & was presented with a sealed Yuasa box

Then I noticed a label stating "ready to fit, no acid inside this box"

I asked the assistant "Joe" to cut the seal for me & sure enough, no acid ampoule & the capping tray had been installed.

I pointed out that this was "Not a new battery, as it has clearly been opened because the space where the acid would be is empty & it has been activated".

He replied; "that is brand new, we only get them from Yuasa like that and never with the acid separate"

Rather disappointed, to say the least.

 

They only sell them activated as a result of the number of acid attacks over recent years. I got one for my Ducati dated Jan 20 for £10. It read 11.something volts but after an overnight charge it’s up to 13 v and holding it off the charger. Roll the dice at that money.

 

I picked up mine and it was activated in June 2018, was showing 9v! Wasted journey as they didn't have any more in stock. I had a look on the shelf while I was there and most had been activated over 6months ago.

My battery is marked activation date; 02/2021. Optimate will just have to daisy chain this alongside my bike.

 

Just picked my battery up. Activated in Jan. I knew it would be. On the optimate til the current one dies. For £10 amazing value!
