Hi all After hunting for quite a while I finally took the plunge yesterday and picked up a near mint 2013 Daytona 675R. It's only got 4500 miles on the clock, full Triumph service history, 1 owner from new, and is completely standard except an R&G tail tidy. It's also got quite a few genuine Triumph accessories which is a nice bonus. First impression from my 100 mile ride home is that it's quite a step up from my ZXR400!
Cool! And yes! Quite the step but weirdly a lot of us have been on a similar journey, I went zxr400, 748, zx6 and ended up on Daytona and then I’ve had quite a few Sent from my iPhone using 675.cc
Lovely bike, not standard though as it has the comfort seat, seat cowl and arrow exhaust. I would be interested to know how much you paid for it so I can see what mine might be worth ;-)
Happy new bike day, bike looks great, very similar spec to mine except the mileage They've even refitted the standard RH exhaust cover instead of the Arrow one, done the same on mine although I've powder coated it gloss black to match the fairing, looks way better than the little one you're supposed to fit which leaves the pipe exposed. Enjoy, they're quite a rare sight on the roads now and still look as good, if not better, than most new bikes
Nice selection, I'm a big fan of the 748 but wanted something a bit more modern. I love my ZXR to bits but sadly I think it's going to have to go now or else it'll just sit gathering dust in the garage. Sent from my SM-G981B using 675.cc mobile app

Thanks, and yeah I've got the arrow cover but I think I prefer the standard one too. Good idea painting it to match the fairing, might have to give that a go! Agreed, the 2 main things that drew me to the Daytona is that they're quite uncommon and that they're a triple

Fab new bike. I love the Rs and they're so iconic. There's definitely a place for one in my dream bike collection, if I ever win the lottery. I went from a couple of 400s to the 675 too and I'm now kinda addicted to them. If the weather and covid gods are playing nicely, you're gonna have a brilliant summer on it.
Gave her a good clean today and took some better photos, I now realise it's got Triumph frame protectors which I didn't spot initially. The oem levers were the only thing I wasn't keen on, so I swapped them for some ASV ones which are more adjustable and suit the colour scheme better. I'm really happy with everything else on the bike so haven't got any other modifications in mind at the moment. I noticed its got TPMS too which I didn't expect... Was this another option, or standard on the R?
Bikes looking great, still haven't got mine out of hibernation yet TPMS wasn't standard so it seems the previous owner has added virtually every Triumph accessory to your bike. The only other thing I'd consider is the 1050 throttle tube if its not fitted already, but maybe wait until you've got used to the bike and looking for that little bit extra. It doesn't make as big a difference compared to the earlier bikes but still worthwhile if you find yourself really having to bend your wrist or take two bites at it to get 100% throttle. Obviously doesn't add power but it definitely feels quicker, the same as selecting Sport mode on a ride by wire bike. I know cosmetic changes are personal but another thing to consider is colour coding the fairing "eyebrows" crystal white, its a subtle change but I didn't think the silver plastic look matched anything else especially from the side. Also if you don't mind the look then Techspec snakeskin tank pads are a popular option. Also I think i've repeated this to a few new owners but if you haven't already I would definitely remove the rear hugger for cleaning as dirt and water can get trapped and start corrosion on the bare ally machined mounting holes in the swingarm.

To be fair I haven't ridden it since the initial ride home, all the roads around here are covered in salt at the moment so until we have some rain to wash them clean (and it warms up a bit) the bike will be staying tucked away in the garage! Good to know about the TPMS, a Triumph dealer had the bike on display in their showroom before it was registered so I think that's why it's got all the extras fitted. Once I've ridden it a bit more I might look into the throttle tube, will see how I get on. I like the idea of colour matched eyebrows, I'm not a big fan of the silver. Did you paint them yourself or are they removable and easy to swap for a different colour? It's got a Triumph tank pad in front of the seat and I'm not a big fan of the side ones so I think I'll leave that as it is. Thanks for the heads up about the rear hugger, I removed that and a few other bits and pieces during the cleaning session yesterday
Sprayed them myself with aerosols from Paints 4 U which is a good colour match, they can be removed pretty easily to paint, just need to remove the cockpit infills and a few other screws. You can get carbon fibre replacements but I wanted to hide them not make them more prominent.
