I tried to convince myself I wasn't too fussed when it was announced but seeing people get their new bikes I must admit I'm a bit jealous Surprising how much difference the bare Ally frame and swingarm make, looks really good against the carbon fibre. Even though my 675 R is nearly 7 years old it felt good knowing it was never superseded and WAS the ultimate Daytona and probably the best SuperSport bike ever made, now they've spoiled it slightly bringing out this limited edition Seriously though, it looks fantastic and I'm sure it'll be awesome on the road or track, I'll just have to console myself with my two old triumphs, probably many people's dream bikes so I shouldn't complain. Don't want to end on a negative but not sure I'd be displaying it outside the garage if that's where it's stored.
It’s insured mate garage or not someone wants it they will have it large Almax chain and ground anchor is the best I can do. The frame looks lovely far better in the flesh the bike is good quality BUT not a patch on my 2018 sp2 different league. I might add a 675r 2011 to the collection one day??
May not be "last" in his case mate; -Garry1966 actually had one originally iirc ?* ( * memories of us bouncing off the limiters down the back straight at Cadwell, both playing chicken for who would leave the braking latest enough to take the line into Park corner)
Ha ha remembered good times, that was the 2013 675r I would like the underseat version never owned one so would be good to have in the shed
A bloody Honda blade?!?! Really??! Beauty really is in the eye of the beholder.l! Must admit I loved the silver and orange blade when it first came out and remembered sitting on it as a kid at the NEC bike show.
I think with Hondas, aside from the VTR sp1 and 2 which were straight up cool! (And had a made by HRC tag on the frame) you either get it or you don’t. I think they are some of the best built bikes out there but always leave wanting in the character dept
Character this sp1 has loads of it, the noise the clocks nothing had anything like these 20 yrs ago the styling etc. It’s one of my favourite bikes
Quick run out on the 765 moto 2 50 miles first impressions very good, airbox growl is very loud the exhaust is dead quiet, brakes very good blipper and qs very smooth. Seating position is a fair bit different to the 675R more arse up in the air bit more pressure on the wrists, footpegs feel higher. Dash is nice but could of done being angled up slightly it’s very straight.
Cool, I didn’t get a chance to look at the production one only the prototype but am suprised they didn’t figure out a similar level of adjustment to the street triple RS
I’ve not ridden mine yet but did think the dash was a bit upright. The dealer obviously thought so as well because he tried to adjust it when giving me a demo of the dash!
Setup for single rider On my bike I’ve got the trackday aluminium air intake and clock bracket which allowed me to bend it back abit Not sure you want to modify yours too much, or what’s the plan with it?
I’m actually surprised the rear is so hard, with it only being designed for one rider I would have thought the spring would have remained the same. Even though its more track focussed
I find all the ttx hard on any bike with it, on the RS it’s way too soft as that’s no more an ohlins rear shock than I am ha ha
