I have them, had them about 3 years. I’m sure they saved my ankle in a tumble I had at Silverstone. Just had a bruised toe from a low side. Bit of a phaff to get on and off with the inner booties but super comfy and top draw safety. Best to try a set on in a shop first!?
I tried a set on. Thought they were ace and comfy. The shop assistant was the one that made me question my choice. He proposed they are a race boot and expensive and maybe an smx might be a better boot for the road. Just wondered what the 675.cc opinion of them was. And being as superficial as I am I thought they looked the best boot on the shelf.
I have 2 pairs of SMX, one of them being the Gore-tex version i haggled a good price on at the NEC a couple of years ago which are 100% waterproof. I've worn them on track, touring, commuting, everything, and have no complaints with them for how they feel etc. I guess it depends whether you really need that bit extra that the Supertechs give you over the SMX. The only problem i had was the pull string for the inner lining snapped on one of them, but doesnt cause any issue to me.
As I said bit more phaff, but no real biggy, and I think there a bit bigger physically. Love mine though.
Love mine and wear them on track and on the road with leathers. They don’t fit under my jeans though so bear that in mind.
