  5. will try them out when mine arrives and report back

  6. Be good to know if other (cheaper) batteries will fit, rather than purchasing theirs for £15!

I have absolutely no equipment to measure the size at home unfortunately! I have two pictures to show the chunky size in comparison to the Olfi though

  8. Mine's just arrived. Put gopro battery in I have spare, switched on and works. Appears to be same size battery other than the gopro battery has lower mAh (1050 as opposed to 1600) and lower Wh (3.885 opposed to 5.9). Obviously not a techy guy so not sure if this will affect operation but voltage is same for both. Lined up the rear casing I have which was for bacpac gopro. Metal Pinang case looks to line up so reckon the gopro cases will fit.

  9. Well, the lower mAh refers to how much current it can provide (or flow rate) at least this is my understanding, so if u are using a really high speed and high capacity memory card and using high frame rate and high quality (ie pushing the unit hard) u may find it starts to use its battery really quick or even becomes unstable.

  10. Thanks Phil, I did think that it may drain quicker but nice heads up re stability issues. was a spare I had when I used to possess a gopro ☺️

Took the camera out yesterday for a spin. When looking at the video i was very impressed with the quality but one gripe is that the audio quality was dreadful. I mounted the olfi on the tank with the open style case, i seem to have a horrible distortion noise when playing back.

Make sure your audio is set at 16bit 44.1 stereo in your editor. And render it.

Just seen that hit film express 4 has just been released 3 was amazing. Try it.

Thanks for the advice. This is all new to me, lovely camera tho very easy to use.

  16. Any advice for recording etc would be welcomed by myself! I'm just starting out but want to get some footage, not too bothered about 4K so just HD will be fine! Just settings, programs to edit(free or cheap), general tips etc

Hit film is essentially like premiere pro and after effects in one. Or FCP and Motion.

  19. Sweet where can I get it and view the tutorial? Thanks :)
