  1. Your cats moustache so cute. What setting would you use for recording while on the bike?

Vimeo does support 4K and 60fps .I can output a 4K version later today. I simply output HD as it's the most common.

I mentioned most of this in the description. A firmware update is due in the summer which should bring higher frame rates to the 4K setting. I'm less concerned about the movement and shoot at a lower frame rates to get more light to the sensor.

Colour profile was set to flat and I turned all sharpening to it's lowest level ( same as all my cameras. Always sharpen in post!) I can output a 4K version later today. It's a Sony Exmor sensor and from a quick side by side colours are decent against my FS7 and A7Rii.

I used the 4K 24fps setting. Mainly as I wanted to see how it performs and handled all the bumps and ruts and what the crop was like when editing at 1920x1080.

I'm exporting a 4K version now so will put that up when done.

Hi folks here's an onboard again read description to understand settings. I won't be doing anymore tests I'll be using it in a few upcoming videos mounted to the tank for less vibration.

Yeah there is sound. Are you watching the embedded video or on vimeo?

Make sure to click the HD in play bar and select 4K.

If it doesn't rain tomorrow I'll head over the same road and film in 1080P60fps. Higher frame rate should smooth it out a bit.

  11. Oh god, I watched it on my phone and had it on vibrate (as everyone does these days)! Excited for mine to come

  12. Thanks for the info and great review. Been looking to replace the Gopro Hero 4 I lost on a trackday at Rockingham last July and this seems to be the solution. Have ordered, hoping it arrives in time for my ride to NW200 in May :)

Has anyone advice on the best / preferred memory cards to use?

As its able to record 4K I believe that needs U3 class for that write speed

  16. It depends on the bitrate. If it is 50 Mbit/s (by the quality of the video I doubt is so high) this translates into 6.25 MBytes/s, which means a Sandisk Ultra is more than enough. SanDisk extreme would be overkill and you would throw money on the window.

    Even if it's 100 Mbit/s, that's 12.5 MBytes/s. My 64GB Sandisk Ultra can write with more than 40 MBytes/s.
I tested this with my Sony a6000 which records video with 50Mbit/s.

Sony 4k action camera records at 100Mbit/s.

I used a Sandisk Ultra in all the above footage. The Olfi constantly told me 'low card speed' and only records in low data rate. I just stuck in the Sandisk extreme 64GB which is U3 and the message has gone.

Ok a quick test of file size of high rate vs low data rate.

21 secs High = 76MB and looks to be circa 50Mb/s
21 secs Low = 64.5MB looks to be circa 35MB/s

  19. That is strange....
My mirrorless camera and a sony as200 action camera both recorded at 50Mbit/s and never complained about my card (SanDisk Ultra).
