Just to add, it takes me an hour to get to fun roads. And an hour home. But where I come from they'd be mediocre roads. And it's soooo busy! Except for a couple of years abroad, I've been here for 12 years, and through a lot of trial and error (still trying...) on the best roads down here. Some would be good but are always always too busy.

It'll be a couple of years yet, but I can't wait to move back to Yorkshire and have great roads on my doorstep!

Went off to the IAM observed ride today. Was reallly annoying, because I was with another associate who had problems with his tyre pressure sensor so kept on stopping. Think my riding suffered because of this. The observer tried to help the guy and even had a puncture repair kit (not needed) and an electric pump which was used hut not needed! Anyway prob only rode around 40 miles if that but manage to take 3 hours!! Haha! Poor bloke hope he gets it sorted. I'm really unsure about all this technology, it's go I g to go wrong and when it does I'm.sure it's all pricey...I'm quite happy with simple electrics in my vehicle!!

Bit of a last hurrah for my riding year today (tyres almost gone/new Supercorsa's allergic to rain...️) - about 160miles round mid wales with a mate and a bit of a blind date, meeting redsail on his very nice Ducati 848 for a chat and a ride on some of my favourite private roads...

Thanks for the coffee Si, owe you one mate - you certainly know how to ride that sweet sounding Ducati and looking forward to a few more ride outs during the next sunny spells!

Went for a bumble from Northampton through Leamington spa, Warwick and up to Stratford-on-Avon for an all day breakfast and a coffee. Then headed back again good ride for a couple of hours and a couple of great roads between daventry and leamington.

Gave her a wipe over, popped her on the stands and tucked her away until Cartegene.

Do you know that your techspecs are upside down and on the wrong sides of the bike?
I do the same because mine are worn out the right way round.

Yes - I noticed that earlier and checked my old pics (hoping no one would spot it!) - irony is I'd taken them off as I was stripping my bike back to stock to sell (possibly to redsail️), but then had my change of heart over the "r" and stuck it back together quickly. I shall be putting them back on the right way round when my GB racing covers I ordered last Friday arrive and the wife doesn't miss the hairdryer for while...

    Thanks for the kindly spot

How did you find the Ohlins FF? Great pic hope you got more so you can look through them during the SORN period!

Ohlins - it is much smoother than the stock, even with the 120nm spring on it, no harsh crashes on the rear on some of the bumpy and rippled mountain roads like there were with the stock. It was great round a couple of large sweepers&roundabouts, which were confidence inspiring, although a noticeable lack of rebound meant the bigger bumps were still felt. New rear spring and a set up will be on the menu next year.

Got quite a few memories to keep me going through the winter, 2015 was another good biking year - 1st TT visit, Oulton Park Trackday and a lot of blasts round the local area, topped off with some tasty mods. Time for a few garage jobs, deep clean and sort out a new gasket so I can fit the slipper clutch ready for 2016...

Had mine set up yesterday FF and totally agree, the lads did say I could do with a softer spring on but just to give it a try and see how it feels.

So had a good ride back and my god I didn't think it would feel much if any different to the TTX but it is felt more balanced in the corners just asking you to lean over more, am very impressed. Also tried it 2 up as took the missus out for tea at Matlock and watch the illuminations/fireworks. I asked once we stopped "did you notice any difference?", and she did a lot smoother over the bumps, she too was quite surprised but very pleased with my purchase . So just need to try it on track roll on 11th November oulton park

Had a fab biking weekend. Have done around 200miles, yesterday's observed ride and today's social ride, headed to the Departure lounge in Alton for breakie then had a goon around the area. Absolutely love it, really should of got into bikes when in was 16 even though I was skint when I was at that age haha. Today had been so misty haven't ridden in mist for months and months but really homes in your skills!
