To be honest mate im still sat here seething at MCE. Telling me I’ve had a theft that I haven’t, can’t tell me who it was with - and this from the same people who couldn’t update the Insurance database 6 months after I bought the fucking policy that theyre telling me ive got a claim on.

I need to think about a few things over the next day or two cos right now I’ve got zero interest whatsoever in getting involved with it/them all over again.

    Red,
are you saying that MCE are telling you that you have an undeclared claim from a previous theft on another policy?
They are looking at an industry database of claims, to help them track down fraudulent details when people take out insurance.
The same data that i reckon they sell on to these bloody injury lawyers.

I had a very similar problem with an insurer on one of our cars, where previous insurer had put 2 claim entries for the same accident, in 2 separate months.

They can tell you when that claim entry was put into the claims database, e.g. when the claim was made, and all you can do then is contact your insurer at the time and get them to clear it, if they put it in by mistake.

But i had zero luck trying to get anyone to resolve it either, but no problems from any other insurers after.

Or it might be that one of your earlier bikes has not had owner details updated maybe?

Make a formal complaint to MCE then take it from there.

I've heard nothing good about this bunch of bandits.

Well I ended up going batshit mental on them (and boy did it feel good) especially after the way the patronising rude cunt on the other end of the phone just spoke to me. Cancelled the claim, paid 137 quid for the privelige and ill get it dropped off at JL’s to get it fixed at my own expense.

DO NOT EVER USE MCE THEY ARE AN UTTER, UTTER GANG OF CUNTS.

(oh and my bikes still insured with them – work that fucking one out!!)

  6. Facelift fireblade mate, great all rounder, pretty and prob better on insurance.

Although if u can get past the looks, my mate completely fell in love with his Big Bang R1

Just to add to this, I’ve had to phone them every day for 12 days running (sometimes 2 or 3 times at half an hour a go) and NOT ONCE have they called me or called me back when they said they would. All this just to tell me the extent of the damage/whether it was a write off. To say I’m fucking fuming would be a massive understatement right now.

I think im going to go to the last BSB round at brands, purely to set fire to that fucking mascot they have running around the place. Whatever way i can, theyre getting absolutely terrorised off me from now on.

Developing the same feelings for MCE myself. Wrote my Fireblade off 5 weeks ago. They have never once phoned or emailed me. Think this may be a money making scam on their part as I'm sure the call rate isn't cheap.
After much chasing they declared the bike a cat c three weeks ago. Every time I ask how long it will be till I get a settlement figure I'm told the same 2 or 3 days
I have just bought a Daytona 675 as a replacement for the blade, so things could be worse. But I'm still waiting for a payout.

I’m currently waiting for their “services team” to call me this afternoon (as promised) to let me know when they’re going to deliver my bike back to me.

I’m willing to wager my house, right now, with anyone on here, they won’t, and I’ll be doing the phone calling, again tomorrow.

(sorry to hear about your blade btw)

Dogshit that mate. Have heard lots of bad things with MCE. So they wont claim as your last bike was stolen and recovered (by police)? And you didnt declare it? Or it never happened and they made it up or an error? Bit confused..

You need to complain. The last thing you want is a false flag on your insurance record, it'll cause untold problems in the future.
