Fantastically Tony Scott has been keeping in contact updating me with his project, named the M2-11; he has built the bike from the ground upwards. Basing it on a Triumph engine (technicals coming soon!) it has been sculpted into something that pin-up posters are designed for.

T3 Racing are planning on making a limited run for the road user, however looking at how much work and trick-bits are included it will be sold at a premium.

The bike has just started it's testing phase, and below are a few photo's Tony (T3 Racing) wanted to share with the forum.

I think you'll agree this looks awesome! It's going to be an interesting week once the technical data has come back!

Would love a rough idea on the price for a road version, if you manage to speak to him mate.

  5. While the mock-up at the top of the page looks very nice / pretty, is there a demand for a high end, high priced Triumph 675 based special?

what I'm saying is that this is has to be in the same price range the Hesketh / Norton specials and while I love the 675 (Had over a dozen of them) I can't see me shelling out for one of these.
(Will it come with warranty or bought 'as seen' or is going to be recognised by Triumph Motorcycles?)

  6. I guess they just want to sell enough to cover r and d. Would assume the plan is to run a single make BSB series with them

  7. Firstly, I admire the level of cust service etc that T3 give to their customers enormously. I also think the body work looks pretty trick, but with regards to the frame, I am a little confused.

The placement of the struts and bracing looks identical to the standard one, but made out of steel (I guess) so I am not sure what it gains for this?

I hope that they ditch the swingarm also and put something in there a little different. If it's just sold as a special then fair enough but difficult to improve a chassis and engine combo that is already pretty phenomenal!

I love the look of the bike and the project Tony is running. It's always interesting to see how much the 675 engine can be pushed. The bike was in testing today but I think he was expecting something around the 180BHP mark (if I listened to him correctly lol - which I might not of! ;) ). I think this is a bike that is well and truly in the top end of the market.

Expensive parts, labour, R&D and only 5 road bikes to be produced (if I'm correct) will easily notch the OTR price above the £20k mark (if not more). It's in a different end of the market, which to me is very interesting and provokes ideas what we can do onto an affordable scale on our own bikes. The styling is superb, and something Triumph need to take note off. If only I had some spare cash! It would look great in my stable! lol

Hats of to T3 Racing, they're certainly attempting something that hasn't been done before - I guess watch this space. Meanwhile if anyone has some loose change to go into the 'Craigs M2-11 Fund' please let me know! lol

  9. Absolutely, never ever would I knock someone who is pushing the envelope! Fair play! Is it 675 or an 800? 180 is seriously pushing it surely??? Think supersport bikes are 145hp?

Yeah, like you I was gob smacked, though it could of been from either of two things (a) I got confused between the two different bikes he's building (b) the figure was thrown around before it hit the dyno, so what it actually achieves could be a different thing ;)

**Edit, my bad it was option (A) - I think the M2-11 is around 145bhp ;)

I believe it is much lighter, and is fully adjustable around the swing arm and on the headstock.

  12. Yea I talked to Tony wen I had my bike in there, the frame is infinitely adjustable. Rake and all sorts. I like it.

Surely if the price will be that high someone would buy it but would stay in a garage or something? I love the look of itruely stunning

seen in the flesh. some very nice detailing, and well thought out features that Tony took some time to talk through. thanks Tony!

will be placing a "family for sale" thread soon to help me fund one when they are released.

  19. That survey with all the 800 street triples had a 675RS and another daytona above it. There was an interview with Triumph person who mentioned the IMU that's in the R1 and 1299. Why would they put that in the 675R. Doesn't need it.

What else can they do to the 675R to improve it? Traction control it doesn't need, more power maybe. Ducati and MV showing that punters seem to be gravitating towards big power torquey road bikes 800 and 899/959. I think the time is right for a big engined surprise.
