Westy that's pretty much my perfect ride out up north. I couldnt do 200+ miles on my daytona. My wrists would be crippled. For a nice stop off I suggest the crab and lobster at asenby and star inn near Helmsley. I quite like your Modded colour scheme. Ribble head viaduct is a lovely place.

B1263 from Scorton then jump on a167 and head south. That s a good road with great surface. There's a friendly aprillia dealership in Thirsk if you ever need something bike related.

Thanks when I move back up North thats my first ride out food stop sorted. Helmsley's Crab & Lobster is 4.5* from 19 reviews on google!
I couldn't actually of managed all those miles.. Went out for a "short ride" with my dad. In my one piece . Next time I'll make the sacrifice and wear 2 piece textiles.
Thanks for the positive comment on the colour scheme :D

Near on 600 miles in a day, having not ridden much this year I was broken by the time we got to our stop but absolutely loved it. French roads are amazing, didn't find one pot hole and the French actually move out of the way for bikes!
My pals 98 fire blade bought for £400 made it there and back and didn't skip a beat, What a bike!

    Quite a trip there mate
WOW, that bike for 400 notes.??? Has to be the bargain of the decade IMO, even like the colour scheme (& the lack of wear in the front discs, and the USD forks and and and....) :green:

Went out with the local IAM guys to a Hog Roast put on by the club. In all it was 140miles and lead excellently. No one got lost and its weird we weren't all that far apart even when we can quite comfortably say it was a spirited ride at times! Surprising how many old guys are in the IAM. I bumped into a few guys slightly younger but generally are still older than myself! These guys aren't about must do this, must do that. When they are shifting they are shifting!! I was the only 600 in the group all others were 1000s and no one really got away from me, well not in the twisties at least!

I was reflecting back to how I used to be and how I am now and it's surpising just how all of these things have have made my ride a lot more progressive and confident.

    Great day out

Admittedly, it didn't look like that when he bought it. Probably spent another £400 on her, even so still an absolute bargain.
    Great great fun :)

Took the long way home because it was sunny this afternoon and I didn't have to pick up the kids!

Little 2hr jaunt of mix of m'way, main road, B road and mountain roads round sennybridge and hirwaun. Cracking stuff - even if the car park was full of parascender vans, hence no bike in the pic... ImageUploadedBy675cc1442684084.625910.jpg

  15. Found some very nice roads, round the back of Melton Mowbray, Towards Peterborough then home via coverntry through Leicester then derby ;)

  17. Stopped off at Lytham St Annes next to the lake for a coffee, wondered why it seemed so busy even for a Saturday then had a free display from the Red Arrows across the bay at the Southport air show.

Took it out for an observed ride. Didn't go very far today just very local roads. This was a brush up and see where I was. I am learning my mistakes now and know where I can improve which was totally different from 10 months ago where I just rode! Got marked down for decision making from my own admittance, not necessarily bad or unsafe just on hidesite I realised I could of just done something different instead. Live and learn! Think the 675cc fest is still in me a bit... hahaha

  19. Out in the rain, which reminded me of Sunday after 2015 fest.

Got up early to beat the traffic, largely worked, deserted when I set off, didn't take long to get very very busy though. Have to work this afternoon, so just a quick 150 miles London to Sussex loop. Might be last decent ride of the year .

Stopped for coffee at Ryka's box hill. Busy, quite a few street and speed triples. Mine the only Daytona though...
